PHOTOS: New Promos Released - Get To Know The Cast Of Marvel's Jessica Jones



Netflix have released a new set of promotional photos and behind-the-scenes images from their new exclusive series Marvel's Jessica Jones featuring all key cast members.

Adapted from the comic book series Alias by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Gaydos by Melissa Rosenberg, the new 13-part show stars Krysten Ritter as the eponymous Jessica, a former superhero forced into retirement following a personal trauma. 














David Tennant co-stars as her nemesis, the evil Kilgrave, an immoral man with the power of mind control who is used to getting what he wants, no matter what damage he causes on the way. Obsessed with Jessica, is coming back to pick up their abusive relationship where they left off.






Mike Colter stars as Luke Cage, another superhero with unbreakable skin and super strength. His character will be the focus of the next Marvel Defenders miniseries, launching next year.






Carrie-Anne Moss stars as unscrupulous lawyer Jeryn Hogarth, a female version of the character known from Marvel's Iron Fist series and a potential link to their fourth miniseries. She and Jessica are adversaries though have a mutually beneficial relationship; she is also notaable as the Marvel Cinematic Universe's first major openly gay character.









Rachael Taylor stars as Trish Walker, Jessica's adoptive sister and a successful radio host. She is loosely based on the Hellcat character from Marvel comics.






Erin Moriarty plays Hope, the student at the centre of Jessica's first major PI case. She and Jessica share a common abuser; it is through her that Jessica learns that Kilgrave is returning.




Eke Darville plays Malcolm, Jessica's drug addicted neighbour whose story intertwines with hers.




Wil Traval stars as Will Simpson, an NYPD cop. The actor has hinted strongly that the character is based on super-soldier and Daredevil villain Frank Simpson.
