USA: OUT NOW - Jessica Jones: Alias Volume 2 Re-Release

The second volume of the reprinted collection of the comic book series that inspired the new Marvel / Netflix series Jessica Jones is out now in the USA.

Alias by Brian Michael Bendis originally appeared under the Marvel MAX imprint. The 28-issue series followed the fortunes of a former superhero, Jessica Jones, who hung up her cape after a traumatic episode and instead set out as a private detective in New York's Hell's Kitchen. The story is aimed at a more adult audience than Marvel's usual fare, exploring a disturbing episode in Jessica's past at the hands of former spy-turned-supervillain Zebediah Killgrave.

The new volumes are being released with new covers by original series cover artist David Mack.

Writer Bendis said, “I am over the moon excited about the re-release of the Jessica Jones story. These new collections, with brand new David Mack covers, celebrate the history of the character, while at the same time open the door for a new audience that will discover her through Netflix. David Mack’s covers are an essential part of the show’s DNA. With his work featured on the show’s credits, these covers will be the visual connection between the graphic novels and the show.”
