The second season of the UK series Broadchurch is available to stream via Netflix in Spain from today. The award winning crime drama
sees the return of David Tennant and Olivia Colman as police detectives Alec
Hardy and Ellie Miller as the new series revisits the small coastal town a few months after young Danny Latimer's killer was named and prepares to go to court.
The residents of Broadchurch, and especially Danny's family, hope that the trial will help them put this horrific episode of their lives behind them at last. However, a last minute twist plunges the small community right back into the nightmare. Meanwhile, the main
suspect in a case that has long haunted Hardy is back in the area. He seizes
the opportunity to solve it finally, and begs Ellie to help him.
Many other members of the original cast are also back,
including Jodie Whittaker, Andrew Buchan and Arthur Darvill. They are joined
this time by a number of new faces, including Eve Myles, Marianne
Jean-Baptiste, Charlotte Rampling and James D'Arcy.
Spanish channel Antena 3 acquired the rights to show Season 1 in
Spain and they have hinted that they may eventually show season 2 as well.
A third season of Broadchurch goes into production during
2016 for broadcast in 2017.
