Look Back In Anger & Archive On 4 With David Tennant To Air 30th April

To celebrate the 60th anniversary of John Osborne’s classic play, Look Back In Anger, Richard Wilson directs a new radio dramatisation with David Tennant as Jimmy Porter.
David previously played the role on stage back in 2005 and won the Critics Award For Theatre in Scotland for his performance.
The BBC have announced it will air on Radio 4 on Saturday 30th April from 2.30pm - 4.00pm.

Although at first disliked by critics, the play is now considered the masterpiece that sparked the Angry Young Men movement - and now, almost 60 years to the day - Radio 4 will broadcast the latest version. David will be joined by Sir Ian McKellen as Colonel, Nancy Carroll as Alison, Daniel Evans as Cliff and Claire Price as Helena.

In addition to the play, in an hour long episode of Archive On 4, David Tennant looks back at the controversy sparked by the play's initial production, and its genesis in Osborne's personal life.
This will air on Saturday 30th April from 8.00pm - 9.00pm
