AUDIOBOOK: David Tennant Records Final Volume Of The How To Train Your Dragon Saga

It's a significant moment for fans of the How To Train Your Dragon audiobooks: David Tennant has been in the recording studio to read How To Fight A Dragon's Fury, the twelfth and final volume in Cressida Cowell's sagas of Viking hero Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III. The audiobook is due to be released on Tuesday 28th June.

The publishers of the series, Hodder Children's Books, informed fans of the recording session via the dedicated series Facebook page, and posted a photo of a script of the final book that David had signed for them.

David started narrating the novels back in 2004. Since then he has created a magical world full of hilarious and memorable characters, including the hapless Fishlegs, evil Alvin the Treacherous, the irrepressible Camicazi and, of course, Hiccup's lazy and selfish dragon Toothless, not to mention the countless tribes, villagers, Vikings and dragons, each with their individual voice and personality, bringing the stories to sparkling life across the last twelve years. Cressida Cowell herself dubbed David "...a one man Archipelago all on his own."
