UK: Watch David Tennant & Olivia Colman On Stand Up To Cancer Tonight

Fans in the UK are in for a treat tonight as David Tennant and Olivia Colman will be showing off their competitive sides. The Broadchurch stars are joining in with other pairs of famous faces, aiming to show the public that cancer can be beaten. As part of this year's annual Channel 4 extravaganza, Stand Up To Cancer, celebrity pairs will take part in a series of unlikely one-to-one match offs to deliver a funny but serious message. David and Olivia will be munching on a spicy hot afternoon tea, where one is given ordinary jam and the other a fiery chilli concoction. They were persuaded to do the peppery challenge during a break in filming for the third series of Broadchurch.

The unforgettable night of entertainment and fundraising will be helmed by Davina McCall, Alan Carr and Adam Hills and will include a flock of famous faces to make you laugh, cry and raise enormous amounts of money. Also confirmed to join the presenting team on the night are Steve Coogan and The Last Leg team and the world’s sexiest doctor, Dr Mike. With very special sketches from the cast of Humans, Britney Spears, Michael Bublé and many more, this is set to be one unmissable night of TV. A firm favourite of the Stand Up To Cancer live extravaganza, the Gogglebox Celebrity special will once again be part of the night’s viewing. Look out two for key Channel 4 shows getting a Stand Up To Cancer makeover in the run up to the live show, including The Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls, Celebrity Child Genius, E4’s Tattoo Fixers, Hollyoaks and the return of the cult adventure gameshow The Crystal Maze.

One in two people born in the UK after 1960 will develop cancer and more than 1 in 4 deaths are caused by it. Worldwide, cancer kills more than AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis combined. Cancer is a complex disease – there are more than 200 types and thousands of subtypes. It is the world’s biggest killer. Today, one in two of us will develop cancer at some point in our lives. But, one in two of us will now survive cancer.

Tune in to Stand Up To Cancer from 7pm tonight on Channel 4
