David Tennant introduces Robert Louis Stevenson’s gripping adventure story, as dramatised by Chris Dolan.
In 1751, in the aftermath of the Jacobite rebellions, young David Balfour, a staunch supporter of George II, is newly orphaned and goes in search of his father’s family near Edinburgh. When he is press-ganged on board a ship bound for the slave plantations of America, he forges an unlikely alliance with the charismatic Highlander, Alan Breck.
Starring Owen Whitelaw as Balfour and Michael Nardone as Breck.

Kidnapped has been adapted for radio from the original novel by Robert Louis Stevenson and has been produced and directed by Bruce Young. Part 2 follows on Sunday 27th November.

As previously announced, on Sunday 4th December David will be starring as Wiltshire in Terror In The South Seas: The Beach Of Falesa, the first of two radio adaptations by Jane Rogers from the Robert Louis Stevenson collection South Sea Tales. Find out more here. David will also be narrating a second adaptation by Jane on the 11th December.
