RADIO: David Tennant To Make Comic Relief Appeal On BBC Radio 4

David Tennant will be making a BBC Radio 4 Appeal on behalf of Comic Relief on Sunday 26th March at 7.54am BST.

Comic Relief is a UK charity which aims to create a just world, free from poverty, where everyone is safe, healthy, educated and empowered. David has seen the desperate need of people living in abject poverty or facing the loss of their children through preventable diseases in his trips to Uganda and Sierra Leone for the charity. The Radio 4 appeal will follow the journey of one family he met in Sierra Leone. Sheka and Kadia and their four children were scavenging on a rubbish tip for plastic to recycle to make enough money to survive on; their lives were turned around following a grant from Comic Relief.

Since 1985, Comic Relief has raised over £1 billion. That money has helped, and is helping, people living incredibly tough lives, both at home in the UK and across the world. This year, stars of comedy, music, stage, screen and sport will be coming together for the biennial TV fundraiser Red Nose Day on the evening of Friday 24th March on BBC One and Two.

To give from the UK:
- Freephone 0800 404 8144
- Freepost BBC Radio 4 Appeal. (That's the whole address. Please do not write anything else on the front of the envelope). Mark the back of the envelope 'Red Nose Day 2017'.
- Cheques should be made payable to 'Red Nose Day 2017'.

Readers outside the UK can donate directly to Comic Relief online by card or Paypal here
