All New DuckTales Is Coming In August

Get ready to visit Duckburg! Disney XD have announced that the all new DuckTales will be hitting the channel in August.

David Tennant voices Scrooge McDuck in the rebooted animated series with Danny Pudi, Ben Schwartz and Bobby Moynihan bringing the irrepressible trio Huey, Dewey and Louie to life. Last month, Lin-Manuel Miranda was announced to be joining the cast as Gizmoduck a Duckburg hero whose true identity is Fenton Crackshell-Cabrera, a brilliant young intern working for Scrooge McDuck’s personal mad scientist, Gyro Gearloose.

Anticipation for the series is so high that Disney's top brass have already commissioned and second series before the premiere!

“One of the things we always loved about the old show was that it was this family of adventurers, but the emphasis in every episode had always been on the adventure and plotline,” says co-producer Francisco Angones speaking to Entertainment Weekly. “The basic conceit of growing our show was that this is a big blended family of adventurers, so it should feel like a combination of Indiana Jones and a blended Arrested Development-style family sitcom where every character has a different relationship to one another.”

Entertainment Weekly also have an exclusive look at a host of other characters that will make up the community of Duckburg - check them out here!
