David Tennant and Broadchurch Nominated For TV Choice Awards


The shortlist nominees for the annual TV Choice Awards have been announced today and David Tennant has been nominated in the Best Actor category for his role as Alec Hardy in Broadchurch.
David is facing some tough competition as Aidan Turner is also nominated for his role in Poldark as is Benedict Cumberbatch for Sherlock and George Rainsford for Casualty.

Broadchurch itself is also up for an award in the Best Drama category which is particularly strong this year with Line Of Duty, Poldark and Our Girl all on the shortlist,

 And David's co star Olivia Colman is vying for the Best Actress title for her role as Ellie Miller against Poldark's Eleanor Tomlinson, Casualty's Amanda Mealing and Our Girl's Michelle Keegan.

The winners will be announced on in a ceremony hosted by Richard Osman at The Dorchester Hotel, Park Lane on the evening of Monday 4 September.
