PHOTO: David Tennant Spotted On The Set Of Mary Queen Of Scots

David Tennant has been spotted on the set of Mary Queen Of Scots for the first time.
Get Surrey took a sneaky snap of David, in make up, a long wig and full beard for his role as John Knox as he got ready to film scenes for the epic new Royal drama in Albury late last week.

The film, directed by Josie Rourke, follows the early life of Mary Stuart, played by Saoirse Ronan, and her relationship with Elizabeth I (Margot Robbie), her rival in power and love. Both were female regents in a male world; Mary, who became Queen of Scotland when six days old and Queen of France aged 16, was seen as a threat to Elizabeth's sovereignty when she mounted a claim to the English throne.

Other cast include Jack Lowden, Joe Alwyn, Gemma Chan, Martin Compston, Ismael Cordova, Brendan Coyle, Ian Hart, Adrian Lester, James McArdle and Guy Pearce. The film, a Working Title production, is currently shooting in locations across England and Scotland.

Last month Focus Features confirmed that the film will receive a limited release in the UK on 2nd November 2018.
