GOOD OMENS: First Look At Michael McKean As Shadwell

Good Omens writer and showrunner Neil Gaiman has shared the first photo of Michael McKean in costume as Witchfinder Sergeant Shadwell. The nipple-obsessed sergeant is the last remaining member of the once mighty Witchfinder Army and is swept up in the race to avert the Rapture in the six part series heading to Amazon Prime and BBC Two in 2019.

Also from Neil, check out the Sergeant's newspaper ad:

Neil Gaiman has adapted the series from the 1990 novel of the same name that he co-authored with the late Sir Terry Pratchett. David Tennant and Michael Sheen lead a powerful ensemble cast in the respective roles of fast-living demon Crowley and the somewhat fussy angel Aziraphale, a celestial pair who have lived on Earth among humanity since the Beginning and who have become rather fond of their way of life - so much so that they are prepared to make a stand against the forces of Heaven and Hell to prevent the Apocalypse. Add to the mix the only entirely accurate book of predictions to have ever existed, the descendent of a soothsaying witch, a hapless would-be witchfinder, a medium and occasional courtesan, the Four Riders of the Apocalypse, and a young boy who has no idea that he is the son of Satan, and you have one of the most beloved End-Of-The World tales ever created. Other cast members include Adria Arjona, Jack Whitehall, Miranda Richardson, Josie Lawrence and John Hamm.

Good Omens will continue in production in the UK and South Africa until early 2018. The series is directed by Douglas Mackinnon for BBC Studios, Amazon Prime, Narrativia and The Blank Corporation. It will premiere worldwide on Amazon Prime before a TV broadcast on BBC Two.
