David Tennant talks about his character, Angus, in the Academy Award nominated animated movie Ferdinand in a new video released today.

Ferdinand is the story of a giant bull with a big heart. Ferdinand prefers sitting quietly under a tree and smelling the flowers to snorting and butting heads with the other bulls. After being mistaken for a dangerous beast, he is captured and torn from his home. Determined to return to his family, he rallies a misfit team on the ultimate adventure. Set in Spain, Ferdinand proves you can’t judge a bull by its cover.
The animated feature stars John Cena as the giant bull with the tender heart, with David Tennant co-starring as Angus, a Highland bull.

David Tennant And Olivia Colman Attend The Radio Times Covers Party

David Tennant and Olivia Colman were guests at last night's annual Radio Times Covers Party in London, where they were presented with framed copies of their final ever Broadchurch cover.

Other guests at the bash included the cast of Call The Midwife and Poldark.
Coverage of the party will be published in an upcoming issue of Radio Times.

The third and final series of Broadchurch, which aired on ITV last year, saw detective duo Detective Sergeant Ellie Miller (Olivia Colman) and Detective Inspector Alec Hardy (David Tennant) investigate a serious sexual assault that shocked the tight-knitted seaside town to its core.

The series has gone on to win multiple awards including a National Television Award for Best Crime Drama.

NETHERLANDS: You Me & Him Starring David Tennant Released On DVD On Thursday

CALL OF DUTY WWII: Nazi Zombies - The Darkest Shore Released Today

Today sees the arrival of the first DLC pack for Call Of Duty: WWII, and with it comes a new level for the highly acclaimed Nazi Zombies mode. Tickets For The You, Me And Him Premiere At The Glasgow Film Festival Are On Sale Now!

Tickets for the European premiere of David Tennant's latest film, You, Me And Him at the Glasgow Film Festival are on sale now. They can be bought online through the festival website at www.glasgowfilm.org, in person from the Festival Box Office at the GFT or over the phone by calling 0141 332 6535.

The much anticipated rom-com will screen as part of the Local Heroes festival strand at the Glasgow Film Theatre Screen 2 on Sunday 25th February from 18.15, with a second screening at the same venue on Monday 26th at 15.15.
David will attend the premiere screening alongside the film's writer and director, Daisy Aitkens on the Sunday evening.

The 14th Glasgow Film Festival runs until Sunday 4th March.  The festival offers an eclectic mix of new and classic films with six World and seven European premieres, as well as Q&A panels, pop-up events and themed strands.

Earlier this month we posted about the worldwide home entertainment release of the Academy Award nominated movie Ferdinand. The animated feature stars John Cena as the giant bull with the tender heart, with David Tennant co-starring as Angus, a Highland bull.

UPDATED: David Tennant & Billie Piper To Attend Wizard World Cleveland On March 4th

David Tennant and Billie Piper have been added to the guest list of Wizard World Cleveland, appearing at the fan convention on Sunday 4th March. They joining a line up that already includes Marvel legend Stan Lee and Torchwood stars John Barrowman, Gareth David Lloyd and James Marsters. The event takes place at the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland in Lakeside Avenue from 2nd-4th March and runs on Sunday between 10am-4pm.

Both stars will be taking part in photo ops and autograph sessions and will also be taking part in a Q&A panel - full details to follow.

AWARDS: David Tennant & Broadchurch Nominated In The 2018 TRIC Awards

David Tennant and the acclaimed TV drama Broadchurch are both nominees in the 2018 TRIC Awards, and you can help decide the winners. This year, the Awards' 49th year, the Television and Radio Industries Club has collaborated with their media partner ERT to allow readers to cast their vote on their favourite TV shows and stars across 16 categories.

Broadchurch is nominated in Category 4: Drama Programme. The recent NTA winner faces some stiff competition from other shows in the same category which include Doctor Who, Poldark and Line Of Duty.

David Tennant is nominated in Category 15: Drama Performance, for his performance as Alec Hardy in Broadchurch. His co-star Olivia Colman is also nominated for her portrayal of Ellie Miller.

CONVENTION NEWS: Billie Piper Joins David Tennant At Emerald City Comic Con

The Doctor and his Rose are reunited - Billie Piper will be joining David Tennant at Emerald City Comic Con in March! The event runs Thursday 1st - Sunday 4th March at the WA State Convention Center in Seattle and both Doctor Who stars will be attending on Thursday and Friday only. 

Billie has also been added to the Doctor Who panel which takes place on Thursday from 2.30pm on the Main Stage where attendees can expect to hear the pair deliver some top TARDIS tales. 

There will also be dual photo ops with Billie and David which will go on sale to ECCC badge holders tomorrow at 12pm PST via this link, as will Billie's solo photo ops. David's autograph pre-sales are still available here; however his photo tickets are sold out.

David Tennant Set To Attend European Premiere Of You Me & Him At Glasgow Film Festival

David Tennant will be returning to the Glasgow Film Festival this year for the European premiere of his movie You, Me & Him. The much anticipated rom-com will screen at the Glasgow Film Theatre Screen 2 on Sunday 25th February from 18.15, with a second screening at the same venue on Monday 26th at 15.15. VOTE NOW: Broadchurch Series 3 Nominated In 2018 National Film Awards

The third series of Broadchurch has been nominated in the TV Drama Series category in the 2018 National Film Awards. The final chapter of Chris Chibnall's award-winning crime drama series followed the fan-favourite mismatched detectives, Alec Hardy and Ellie Miller, played by David Tennant and Olivia Colman, back at work in the eponymous small West Country seaside town. 

In series three, Hardy and Miller led the hunt for the perpetrator of a serious sexual assault after Broadchurch resident Trish Winterman (Julie Hesmondhalgh) informed police that she had been raped during a party. While the nail-biting mystery and Trish's emotional journey formed the core storyline, the narrative was also interwoven with the continuing fallout from the murder of Danny Latimer, the case upon which the original series of Broadchurch was based. UK RADIO: Listen To David Tennant In 2003 Adaptation Of Strangers & Brothers - The Affair

David Tennant is among the cast of The Affair, a 2003 radio adaptation of the novel by CP Snow, which has a rare repeat on BBC Radio today. The Affair is the eighth volume in the author's Strangers And Brothers series which follows the life of Snow's protagonist Lewis Eliot through his personal and professional life. Ten of the novels were adapted for the series which was originally broadcast as part of the Classic Serial strand on BBC Radio 4.

The Affair is set in the mid-1950s at Cambridge University, where a scandal threatens the reputations of Eliot's best friend and his old college. David Tennant plays Donald Howard, with David Haig as Eliot. Other cast members include Tim McInnerny, Jonathan Coy and Hugh Quarshie.

Listen today on BBC Radio 4 Extra from 10am GMT, with repeats at 3pm and 3am on Thursday morning.

Final Series Of Broadchurch Scoops Best Crime Drama At The NTAs

Broadchurch went out on a high this evening when the third and final series won Best Crime Drama at the National Television Awards. The live ITV audience saw Jodie Whittaker collect the award on behalf of series creator Chris Chibnall and her fellow cast members.

Series three sees Detectives Alec Hardy and Ellie Miller, played by David Tennant and Olivia Colman, tackling a new mystery that rocks the small seaside town of Broadchurch to its foundations. When a woman called Trish (Julie Hesmondhalgh) appears at the police station stating that she has been raped, the hunt is on for the perpetrator before he strikes again. The series also saw the return of Arthur Darvill, Carolyn Pickles and Andrew Buchan alongside new cast members Lenny Henry, Sarah Parish, Charlie Higson and Georgina Campbell. 

Earlier in the evening, David Tennant was pipped to the Drama Performance award by Suranne Jones who was nominated for her role in Doctor Foster.

The nominations for the 2018 Oscars are out, and Ferdinand, the enchanting kids' movie about a gentle hearted bull, has been shortlisted in the Animated Feature category. Directed by Carlos Saldanha for 20th Century Fox and Blue Sky Studios, the voice cast includes John Cena as Ferdinand and David Tennant as Angus. The movie was released worldwide in autumn 2017.

Good Omens Filming Update: Shooting To Wrap This Spring

Last week, the UK shoot for the BBC/Amazon co-production of Good Omens wrapped following four months of shooting in locations around London and Oxfordshire. The cult novel by Neil Gaiman and the late Terry Pratchett is being adapted into a six-part series starring David Tennant and Michael Sheen as the demon Crowley and the angel Aziraphale respectively. Watch The National Television Awards Live Tonight - Will David Tennant Scoop An Award?

The winners of this year's National Television Awards will be announced at a star studded ceremony at London's O2 Arena which will be televised on ITV from 7.30pm until 10.00pm tonight.

David Tennant has been nominated for Best Drama Performance for his role as DI Alec Hardy in the ITV drama series Broadchurch. He is facing tough competition in the category which will see him face off with Jenna Coleman for Victoria, Sheridan Smith for The Moorside, Tom Hardy for Taboo and Suranne Jones for Doctor Foster.

The third and final series of Broadchurch is also up for the Best Crime Drama gong where it will do battle with Sherlock, Little Boy Blue and Line Of Duty.

David Tennant will be one of the guests in the first show of the new series of Channel 4's topical comedy show The Last Leg when it returns this week. He'll be joining regular hosts Adam Hills, Alex Brooker and Josh Widdecombe from 10pm on Friday 26th January alongside singer Craig David.

The award-winning programme launched in 2012 as a parallel show to the London Paralympics, but has gone forward with a broader current affairs remit, with a reputation for social justice and for bringing disability humour to the forefront, as hosts Hills and Brooker poke fun at their own disabilities.

AUSTRALIA: Ferdinand DVD & Blu-ray Released On 21st March

As we posted earlier this month, the enchanting animated movie Ferdinand is due to be released worldwide on DVD, Blu-ray and VOD later this spring. The film, which features the voices of David Tennant, John Cena and Kate McKinnon, was one of the big winter features of 2017.
