GOOD OMENS: South Africa Shoot Starts Tomorrow

The shoot of Good Omens resumes tomorrow as the BBC/Amazon co-production moves from the UK to South Africa for its final month of filming. The six part adaptation of the beloved comedy fantasy novel by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett has been in production since September 2017, shooting in locations around London and Oxfordshire. The series has been scripted by Neil Gaiman and stars David Tennant as demon Crowley and Michael Sheen as the angel Aziraphale, who join forces to try to avert the impending Apocalypse.

Neil Gaiman, who is also showrunner, posted on Instagram that Cape Town will double for Golgotha, Eden and Rome, and gave details of a scene involving David Tennant:

Good Omens is a co-production by the comedy team at BBC Studios, Narrativia and The Blank Corporation, in association with BBC Worldwide for Amazon Prime Video and BBC Two. The series is directed by Douglas Mackinnon and will launch globally on Prime Video in over 200 countries and territories in 2019 including in the UK, where it will also air on BBC Two at a later date. BBC Worldwide will distribute rights for Good Omens internationally, after the series premiere on Prime Video.

Other cast members include Michael McKean, Adria Arjona, Josie Lawrence, Miranda Richardson and Jack Whitehall.
