SCANDINAVIA: Camping Starring David Tennant & Jennifer Garner Comes To HBO Nordic In October

The new eight part comedy Camping will begin on HBO Nordic at 9pm on October 15th, just one day after the series premiere on HBO in the USA. The show stars David Tennant and Jennifer Garner as a married couple on an ill-fated trip into the wilderness. Camping is based on the UK show of the same name, created by Julia Davis for Sky Atlantic, and has been adapted for the US by Girls creators Jenni Konner and Lena Dunham.

Camping follows a group of old friends as they arrive at the underwhelming Brown Bear Lake campsite to celebrate a landmark birthday, sparking heightened emotions, latent tensions (sexual and otherwise) and memories they’d rather forget. Jennifer Garner plays the aggressive and obsessively controlling Kathryn, who has organised the trip to celebrate her husband Walt's 45th birthday. Walt, played by David Tennant, is a loving husband and father whose meek and compliant exterior hides a growing resentment of the life he has built. Other series regulars include Juliette Lewis, Arturo Del Puerto, Ione Skye, Janicza Bravo, Bridget Everett and Brett Gelman.

The series will also premiere on HBO in Spain and on OCS City in France on the same date; broadcast dates for other countries have not yet been announced.
