GOOD OMENS: David Tennant & Michael Sheen Talk Aziraphale & Crowley's "Wonderful Love Story"

David Tennant and Michael Sheen, the stars of Good Omens, stopped to talk to Showbiz Junkies earlier today at New York Comic Con. The pair discussed working together for the first time and considered the unique relationship between their characters in the upcoming six part series.

Good Omens follows the unlikely pairing of an angel, Aziraphale, played by Michael, and a demon, Crowley, played by David, as they join forces to avert the Apocalypse. After 6000 years living among humanity, the pair have grown very fond of their lifestyle and, the actors reasoned, of each other.

"I decided early on," Michael said, "that Aziraphale just loves Crowley. And that's difficult for him because they're on opposite sides and he doesn't agree with him on stuff. But it does really help as an actor to go, my objective in this scene is to not show you how much I love you. And just gaze longingly at you."

"But then Crowley absolutely loves Aziraphale," agreed David. "He hates that he loves him. It's really annoying for him."

"There is a sort of wonderful love story," continued Michael. "I think a lot of the fans of the book like that when they think about the characters, there's an interesting love story going on. It's never explicit, but it's there."
