VIDEO: David Tennant Calms Your Cats And De-stresses Your Dogs This Bonfire Night

David Tennant provides the soothing narration to a pair of films specially designed to bring calm to our beloved furry four-legged friends. With Bonfire Night tonight, many neighbourhoods will be echoing with the bangs of exploding fireworks, sending household pets diving for cover. Now, insurance company MORE TH<N have scientifically designed two films with the intention of reducing stress in cats and dogs that are scared by fireworks and loud noises.

Simply set the film running in the same room as your nervy moggy or pooch and let the cycling images and David's comforting vocals do the work.

For Cats: Peer Window

Guided by extensive scientific research, Peer Window features a range of animate and inanimate objects, including fish and swaying trees, and a soothing narration from David Tennant. Watch here:

For dogs: Woofering Heights

Woofering Heights has been shot in a dog's colour vision, features slow-moving pastoral scenery, a cast of sedentary dogs and a voiceover by David Tennant using words and cadences that will relax dogs. Watch here:

Both films loop a number of times to reinforce feelings of calm among cats and dogs. They are designed to be played several times to pets suffering from noise phobia to help combat nervousness and stress. (We’re also pretty sure that David’s fans will also enjoy the stress-busting effects!).

Short versions of the films are also available:
