David Tennant's new US comedy series Camping will be shown on the OCS network in France from October. The show, which also stars Jennifer Garner and Juliette Lewis, will be shown on OCS City, with each episode airing a day after its US premiere on HBO.
The eight part limited series Camping is based on the UK show of the same name, created by Julia Davis, which was shown originally on Sky Atlantic. Julia Davis remains on board as executive producer for the
US version. The show has been adapted for HBO by Jenni Konner and Lena Dunham
and also stars Ione Skye, Janicza Bravo, Brett Gelman and
Bridget Everett - plus an as yet unannounced star. The series was filmed on location in California earlier this year and centres on an ill-fated birthday
celebration.
Camping
Walt (David Tennant) is a loving husband and father
struggling to contain a mounting discontent for the life he’s built.
His 45th birthday was supposed to be a delightful weekend back to
nature, at least according to his obsessively organized and aggressively
controlling wife Kathryn (Jennifer Garner). But when the camping trip
gathers Kathryn’s meek sister Carleen (Ione Skye), holier than thou ex-best
friend Nina-Joy (Janicza Bravo) and free-spirited tagalong Janice (Juliette
Lewis) in one place, it becomes a weekend of tested marriages and woman on
woman crime that won’t soon be forgotten. Plus bears.
Camping premieres in October in the USA on HBO. Broadcast details for other countries have yet to be announced.
