VIDEO: Maisie Williams Joins David Tennant In Voice Cast Of gen:LOCK

Rooster Teeth's mecha anime series gen:LOCK continues to pull in the star names with today's addition of Maisie Williams (Game Of Thrones, Doctor Who) to the cast. Maisie joins previously announced cast members Michael B Jordan, Dakota Fanning and David Tennant and will voice the role of Cammie MacCloud, a mischevious Scottish hacker and the youngest recruit to the gen:LOCK programme.

Set in a dystopian future where conflict is settled by battles using giant weaponised robotic armour, gen:LOCK centres on Earth’s last free society which is on the losing side of a global war. David Tennant voices scientist Dr. Rufus 'Doc' Weller, the leader of the Experimental Science Unit and the inventor of the 'gen:LOCK' technology, the next generation of mecha, controlled by a diverse team of young pilots. Michael B. Jordan voices main character Julian Chase, Dakota Fanning plays mech pilot Miranda Worth and Kōichi Yamadera voices new recruit Kazu Iida. gen:LOCK is co-produced by Jordan through his own company Outlier Society Productions.

Rooster Teeth Head of Animation and gen:LOCK showrunner Gray G Haddock revealed the casting update this afternoon during the Rooster Teeth animation panel at the company's own RTX convention in London, and also showed a new character reveal trailer featuring David Tennant as Doc which you can see here:
